Every bride needs to stay fresh looking throughout her wedding day; from walking down the aisle to the first dance to the cutting of the cake. She wants her lipstick to stay pigmented and her foundation to look natural and flawless.

It was for this reason that Hong Le Creative Director and CEO of Le Rouge Beauty decided to bring out a daring new line of cosmetics that focused on meeting the demands of a busy bride.

The cosmetics line is of high professional quality focusing on vibrant colours and long lasting formulas. The products are easy to use and you don't have to be a professional makeup artist to apply them on yourself.

One single sweep on the lips will give intense shine with no makeup brushes needed. It's high in pigment formula provides longevity and its Vitamin C and E properties hydrates those luscious lips from sunrise to sunset.

In this new range, Le Rouge Beauty have covered all the necessary elements crucial to a bridal makeup bag so that she is ready for one of the most important milestones of her life. Embarking on a new chapter with her prince charming.

The products are designed to bring out the natural beauty of every bride and all women who comes across it. Hong aspires to empower women, give them confidence and allow them to feel comfortable in their own skin. She hopes that all of you feel excited about her new makeup range as she is and be brave and bold enough to try the products.

Photoshoot Time!

Hong Le

Well it's been a long while since I have put pen to paper (figuratively speaking) and write about my experiences and thoughts about my journey these past few months. Apologies for my neglect but I assure you I haven't just been lazing about enjoying my "lady of leisure" days hahaha.

It's go go go in the world of makeup and beauty and for the past few months I have been working tirelessly to build my professional portfolio. I have come across the most amazing and talented bunch of people and am very grateful that they were and still are happy enough to openly offer me their words of wisdom and show me first hand their practical knowledge and experience in this competitive industry I call my WORLD!

My passion still lies within bridal work however to challenge myself creatively I am branching out and doing things out of my comfort zone to test my ability to see beauty in a different light so to speak. I have been so mind blown by the amount of effort that goes into a photoshoot ; from the photographer to the makeup and hair artist to the stylist styling the shoot. The attention to detail for each photoshoot is astounding and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I would like to thank all of the following people who have helped me in my creative journey. I have had so much fun and I know there is definitely more to come in future. And if I miss anyone I am sure thinking about you! I do have a short term memory so excuse my gold fish memory.

Fake Cosmetics are dangerous!

Hong Le

It's been a while since my last blog and since the weather isn't looking too great outside I thought why not do some blogging to kill time.

I came across an article online today and thought I would share with you all my thoughts on the issue. Counterfeit cosmetics killing our retail industry and are harmful to our body. I have linked the article below so you can read it yourself and draw up your own conclusions about this topic.

So here are my thoughts: I do think that buying fake or replica cosmetics/skincare is dangerous and a bad bad idea! The article I read stated that some counterfeit cosmetics/perfumes have tested positive for a range of toxins containing ingredients such as arsenic, lead and even urine.

I have worked on cosmetic and perfume counters before and to read that the "replica" fragrances have urine in it is just disgusting! Not only is it unhygienic but also unethical. Consumers should be informed of what they are buying and the products should have all the ingredients listed on it's packaging. In saying that anyone buying "fake" or "replica" cosmetics should also know the risk they are taking buy purchasing from an unknown manufacturer.

I myself love a bargain and do try to source the most affordable products/services in all aspects of my life especially when it comes to cosmetics! It is probably the "asian" in me coming out and a trait that I have inherited from my mum, after years of watching her bargain for fresh produce and only buying clothes and shoes that are on SALE. However I will not buy replica cosmetics or fragrances that can be harmful to my skin and body just to save a few dollars.

My advice to everyone buying fakes online is to do your research first and consider whether it is worth it. Because getting a reaction from a replica makeup brand which can cause acne, dermatitis, eczema or even scaling is not worth saving a few pennies in my opinion.

Check out the article below and stop this madness!!! Buy the real deal (100% authentic brands) at reputable shopping malls. Don't get caught up or be a victim of this crazy beauty industry.

Christian & Amelia Sprenger - Sanctuary Cove Resort Wedding

Hong Le

Okay so it has been a while since my last blog post! 1 whole month to be exact… I've been so busy with bridal bookings/trials in the last month that I have neglected this part of my job! No more excuses.

So I wanted to share with those who do not follow me on instagram or Facebook a wedding video I was working on with the talented Tanya Ma. We got the pleasure of filming the beautiful Amelia Evatt-Davey (now a Sprenger) and Christian Sprenger on their glorious wedding day at Sanctuary Cove Resort. The location was amazing and the love was in the air. The pair couldn't keep their hands off each other and their gaze for one another was so romantic just like puppy love.

Le Rouge Beauty followed the bridal party around all day to capture this picture perfect wedding. We started with hair and makeup first at one of the many flashy Sanctuary Cove estates then headed to a large boat that was honesty bigger then my house!

Milque Photography were in charge of the photos and boy did they produce some breathtaking images as seen below.

We had a blast with the lovely couple, her bridesmaids and groomsmen and we just wanted to share their video. A lot of hard work and thought went into this video so please watch it and we appreciate any feedback you may have about it.

To those of you out their who want the perfect wedding. Book in a Deluxe Full Day Bridal Package with Le Rouge Beauty and you will feel like an A-list movie star. It's your wedding day and it only comes around once in your lifetime. So spoil yourself silly and don't settle for anything less then what you truly deserve!

Congratulations again to Christian and Amelia Sprenger from the Le Rouge Beauty team! Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to capture such an important occasion in your new journey together. We hope that your love and support for each other will see you both through sickness and health as long as you both shall live.

Now that's all folks! Happy Thursday xoxo

To give you some insight on my next project I will be working with my talented friend Sarah Wenck. She will be my model as I wanted to take on a new angle and do a makeup application on her rather then on myself. I think this will really capture a different audience altogether as she is caucasian and I am FULL ASIAN! hahah

She has her own lifestyle blog too and she is a little cutie! Check out her blog!

Here is my Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial for those of you who haven't checked it out yet. If you like it please subscribe for more videos! Catch ya later peoples and have a fab weekend.

Makeup Artist and their pricing strategies

Hong Le

Good Morning World!

It's been a while since I have updated my blog so I thought I would take time out to share with you my thoughts and what I have been up to these past few days that are passing by way too quickly.

I've been racking my brain trying to come up with innovative ideas to take my business to a new level. So while researching and facebooking at the same time I came across an interesting blog about "Makeup Artist and their pricing strategy". I thought I would share this with you all to help communicate the importance of a great bridal service that is lacking in the industry. So many who claim they are a qualified makeup or hair artist out there under cut prices so much that it tarnishes the beauty industry for the rest of us!

We all want to offer competitive prices to our clients and we understand that you as a bride are on a budget as weddings can get a bit out of hand. However remember that it is YOUR WEDDING DAY and it only comes around once in your lifetime! So make the most of it and don't compromise on your makeup and hair as it is the first thing that your guests will look at when you walk down the aisle apart from your beautiful wedding gown that you have spent so much of your hard earned money on.

At the end of the day you get what you pay for and in all honesty I charge what I know is right for my bridal services. My services are custom made to suit each bride and I tailor it so that each individual receives the highest quality of service and have the most relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Remember that a picture can paint a thousand words and if you are unhappy with your bridal makeup and hair I can guarantee that your wedding album will be hidden somewhere at the bottom of a draw which you have paid thousands of dollars for.

For those of you who are planning your wedding for 2014 congratulations and good luck with this exciting new chapter of your life. I hope you all like my blog and may the year of the Horse bring you all great happiness and prosperity. Have a great Chinese New Year and see you all soon!

2014 Goals for Le Rouge Beauty

Hong Le

2014 is the year for me to pick up my game and drive Le Rouge Beauty to success. I have worked tirelessly since quitting my job as Makeup Artist at Giorgio Armani late 2013 to focus more on my passion.

The bridal industry has so much to offer and so many avenues that I can take my business. There are so many opportunities out there and I have only tapped into a few. I have so many new and exciting projects that are in progress as we speak and I hope to be able to share them with the world.

My main focus this year is to double my wedding bookings from what I did last year. This seems like a high goal to achieve however with enough planning and preparation I believe this can be accomplished.

Youtube is another medium that I've recently tapped into and I hope that the few that have subscribed to my channel can continue to support me. It is actually harder to film a makeup tutorial then I thought. I really envy and respect the Youtubers out there who do this for a living and do it so well. I have so much to learn and will keep doing it until I get it right. Thank you to Tanya Ma and Diane Le for supporting me and helping me film as the videos would not be the same if it wasn't for them.

Check out my video and leave any comments or advice. I would love to hear from you all!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Hong Le

So today my team and I were working hard to draw out the 2 competition winners of the Urban Decay Naked Palette 3 promotion. It was so much fun drawing the 2 winners out and the youtube video should be completed and uploaded by tomorrow. I am so excited to contact the winners and spill the beans however I have to keep my lips sealed until the video is ready. The Urban Decay Naked Palette 3 is the fourth palette to my collection and the colours are so pigmented and pretty. Definitely a good palette to purchase if you are a girly girl and love the mauve and pink shades. Out of all the Naked Palettes my favourite however is the Naked Palette 2. I hope Urban Decay will eventually set up a freestanding store in Australia and fingers crossed they do open in Brisbane. I will definitely continue to purchase their products online until then!

*TIP - use the eye shadow primer (Sin) as a base before applying any of the eyeshadows. This will stop any creasing from happening and will keep your eyeshadow on for much longer.

False Lashes

Hong Le

After many years of buying false lashes from cosmetic companies I have come to realise that the only way I can improve my business is to import my own line of false lashes. This took months of research and even then I was still not sure whether it was the right thing to do as everything had to be purchased in bulk. Lucky for me the stars were aligned and I went for it. I am so proud to have invested in these false lashes ones that I can offer to all my clients including brides, bridesmaids, high school formal students and more. Have a look at them and please tell me what you think. I am all ears and will be investing in many more different styles.

Newport Wedding

Hong Le

I've just updated my gallery on my website with some images of my beautiful bride Krystle Newport.

Krystle got married at the Sunshine Coast to Jarred Newport late 2013 at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club. It was such a beautiful day and she looked like a princess walking down the aisle to her prince. It was magical. Here are some photos of their wedding day for you all to enjoy!

Bridal Airbrush Makeup By Hong Le Makeup Artist from Le Rouge Beauty

Makeup Artistry in Forbes Magazine

Hong Le

I recently read on forbes magazine about America's 15 most surprising six figure jobs - Makeup Artistry being one of them and it got me so inspired and excited. To think that an industry like beauty can generate so much money even for an ordinary girl like me. I will definitely be working towards those figures and hope that this year will be full of prosperity and luck!

Blogging is my first course of action hahaha

Here is the link to that article.

Hong Le

I am still playing around with the template so please bare with me. I hope you all can follow me and give me any great advice on how to make this a success!

Stay tuned and keep reading :)
